My heart is broken! I have loved and admired Cliff Barrows since I was a young girl (I’m now 76). I was privileged to attend the NYC Crusade in the ’50s and went every night, including to Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium. It was amazing to see him direct the choir and bring out the best, not only in the singers, but the audience, as we sang “How Great Thou Art,” “To God be the Glory” and “Just As I Am.” I had the privilege of meeting and getting to know his daughter, Bonnie, at a Crusade in Norfolk, VA. I lost my dear husband, Charles, 11-19-15, at age 90. He was a Gospel singer as well, serving his church for 42 years, and bringing many to Christ through his music, just as Cliff Barrows did. I hope they have met one another in paradise and are making music with Bev Shea and the angels! My deepest sympathy to his family and especially Dr. Billy Graham who has lost such a dear friend and companion. Our lives will never be the same.
