Growing up in northeast Ohio, the Billy Graham Crusades were required viewing in my parents’ and grandparents’ homes. I remember attending when the ministry came to Cleveland. That made it all the more meaningful when my wife and daughters and I moved to Charlotte in 2006 to serve as Pastor of Worship at Calvary Church, where Cliff was a member. I was thrilled to meet him and Ann on my first Sunday, and I will never forget his kind words—when things get tough, keep singing! From there developed an ongoing friendship I will always treasure. Praising God for Cliff, a true hero of the faith, and for his faithfulness, example and legacy.
