My earliest recollection of Cliff Barrows was, like so many others, directing the Crusade choirs. His exuberance and great smile while directing the blended voices was nothing short of “heavenly!” Whether it was in accompanying George Beverly Shea in the singing of “How Great Thou Art” or in leading the invitation hymn of “Just As I Am,” every note, every word reflected the message of God’s saving grace. The music he presented was the prelude to Mr. Graham’s messages and set everyone’s hearts and focus on God. Although Cliff’s voice and music here on earth have been silenced, he has only just begun to lead in the choir of heaven. How glorious that must be!
