Before I became a volunteer/Friend of the Library and learned a bit more about Cliff Barrows, I was awed by him. I still am. I sang in the choir in the last Crusade Dr. Graham and the team held in Charlotte. What I remember most of Cliff Barrows—he was like the sun on a warm day. He never stopped smiling and exuded joy. He could bring those who wanted to lift their voices to Jesus, but had little musical abilities as to professional singers, yet made something so beautiful as a gift in music to Jesus. He could form a choir out of any group and it was perfect because he dedicated himself entirely to Jesus and bringing the Gospel. What a man who made one feel he knew you. Retired, I continue my relationship with the Library. What I will miss most other than this dear man, was Cliff and Ann’s love for designing a truly inspiring Christmas card each year. I have some framed. My Christmas wish would be one last card for Jesus this year. May Ann be comforted knowing that this card meant so much joy.
