As a Christian from 7 to 57, I believe I’ve never missed a Billy Graham Crusade. And, per chance if I did, I’ve seen it on the Billy Graham Classics on television! It was under Cliff’s fantastic choral and congregational music leadership that I grew to love authoritative and enthusiastic music leadership in worship.

At the recent Decision America Austin prayer meeting, not knowing if there would be any hearty singing—Cliff Barrows style—I wrote a note to Franklin and handed it to one of the BGEA associates that ran by as they were setting up the day before. I grew up for years before meeting my husband, loving the hearty, enthusiastic singing leadership of Mr. Barrows. So convinced that my own husband could get the crowd singing a rousing hymn in Austin that day, my note reflected such. ?

But the music was covered by a dear friend of Franklin’s for many years, and he entertained and facilitated our singing. But if Franklin needs another George or Cliff, I know your man! And he’s from Texas!
