I only saw Mr. Barrows in person once, at a 1981 Crusade meeting in Burlington, Vermont, but was blessed many times by his ministry of leadership (of those great Crusade choirs) and music. As a new Christian as a teen, in the late 1970s, I often listened to “Hour of Decision,” which would sign off just as I turned in for the night. So it wasn’t unusual to hear Cliff Barrows’ voice, along with Mr. Graham’s “May God bless you real good,” before going to sleep on those evenings.
