As a 14-year-old boy in high school in NYC in 1957, I sang almost nightly during that summer at the Crusade meetings in Madison Square Garden and the two closing rallies in the Polo Grounds and Yankee Stadium. What a thrill to enjoy Cliff Barrows service after service. His joy, skill in choral directing, and winsome spirit helped keep me coming back. After 40-plus years in pastoral ministry, I trace my journey’s beginnings to that Crusade and Cliff’s marvelous ministry of music. So grateful he came my way!
